How did we happen?

Back in the 70’s, the then Anand Automotive Leaders decided to move forward in the realms of community development. Based on the teachings, ideals, and principles of Sant Nishchal Singhji, a visionary in matters of elevation in women’s quality of life and educational reforms and also a philosopher, and spiritual leader, they were inspired and motivated to bring into existence SNSF Foundation, focusing primarily on women’s empowerment, as well as other philanthropies, namely education, health, to name a few.

What is our breadth of view?

We like to stress the fact that when we say poverty, we mean impoverishment not just due to lack of economic resources but also that of the mind. Poverty is always associated with helplessness and isolation resulting in non assertiveness, insecurity, and lack of space.

 What is our pursuit?

We are relentlessly working towards creating an environment that will reduce marginalization, insecurity, inability to participate in decision making – particularly for the women folk of our country, especially in the fields of education, health, natural resource management, sustainable livelihoods and governance.
