CSR Activities for villages surrounding Jawai Leopard Camp, Dec 06, 2016

As our social commitment towards developing the quality of life in villages in Jawai Leopard Camp vicinity, Various initiatives have been undertaken to promote Education and Health.



SNSF has adopted 9 government schools to improve the standard of classroom teaching and minimize the number of students who do not have the desired learning levels. Across the 9 schools, SNS has employed 9 additional teachers to achieve the mentioned objectives. To support teachers in achieving these objectives, a two day training programme was organized on Dec 6th and 7th at Govt. Middle School, Village Jivda. The resource person for the two day workshop was Mr. Ramesh Gharu, a government teacher himself from the nearby district of Barmer. Mr. Gharu shared with teacher’s ways and means of making mobile teaching aids using raw materials such as old wedding cards, X-Ray sheets, empty refills of pens etc.


Veterinary medical check-up camps were organized in 3 villages surrounding the Jawai Leopard Camp viz. Jivda, Sena and Meeno Ki Dhanee, on Dec 20, 21 and 22. A total of 2595 cattle were examined and provided with the necessary medicines during the 3 camps. 2595 cattle examined include: buffaloes, cows, goats and sheep; goats are the largest at 1515 or 58% of the total cattle examined.
