Reproductive And Child Health Project

 

SNS Foundation Nasik with partnership of Godavari Foundation, Jalgaon is implementing Reproductive and Child Health project in 16 tribal villages of Trimbakeshwar blocks of Nasik district since April, 2004. The project aims at improving early ante natal care (ANC) registration, improvement in ANC coverage of mother, increase safe deliveries, increase in institutional deliveries and immunization of children. Since the inception of this project the coverage has been as follows; total beneficiaries around 17000, given referral services to 24 women for Institutional deliveries. SNSF organized free health check up camps in villages and also distributed free medicines in this camp. Till date 455 beneficiaries have attended the health check up camp. SNSF also organized free camp for malnourished children in Rohile primary health centre. In these camp a total 8 malnourished children were identified and admitted for 15 days under observation of PHC doctor. These children were discharged after complete recovery. In January 2008 SNSF Nasik, branch under the RCH Project organized vasectomy camp in Thanapada Primary health Centre, Trimbakeshwar. Total 36 beneficiaries underwent vasectomy operations.
